Babies, darn them

I'll blame it on Mother's Day, but I've been feeling nostalgic this week. Jack is no longer a pup, and my daughter is no longer a toddler, but they sure were adorable babies in their day. Now I have a rambunctious hound dog and a (pick-your-own-adjective-here) teenager. Intellectually, of course, I knew this day would come, but way back then, ahhhh.

My husband jokes that parents shouldn't be allowed to take their children out in public until they are thirteen, at which time kids are no longer so adorable—his answer to over-population. I wonder if that same idea would work for dog owners...
